Sourdough is a different kind of bread making. It relies on natural fermentation, a live starter culture, and a much longer process than commercial yeast baking, and getting it right requires an understanding of what is actually happening at each stage. This course takes you through that process directly, covering Cheddar and Jalapeno Country Loaf, 100% Whole Wheat Sourdough, and Sourdough Focaccia. Each of these is a distinct product that demonstrates a different application of sourdough technique. The session is demonstration focused, which means the chef works through the process in detail while participants observe, ask questions, and engage with the material closely. Please note this is not a beginner-friendly session. A basic understanding of baking is recommended before joining.
